Collection: EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

FOR TEACHERS AND PROFESSORS:

Invite us to your digital or in-person classroom! We'll review some of the effects of the fashion industry on our environment, particularly from textile waste going to landfills or incineration, and explain FABSCRAP's role as a service and resource. To arrange a date and time, simply fill out this Presentation Request Form.

Bring your class to Group Volunteer:

Volunteer at our Brooklyn or Philadelphia Warehouse. During these 3hr sessions, students get an intro to our facilities and operations, attain hands-on experience in our sorting processes, familiarize themselves with fibers and fabric types, and after the session, volunteers are allowed to shop our Reuse Room and take 5lbs of fabric of their choice for free as a thank you for their time.

You can specify your preferences in this Group Volunteer Request Form.

Pre-select required fabric/material for your students:
  • Plan a Group Shopping appointment at our Brooklyn or Philadelphia Warehouse, via fabric@fabscrap.org

  • OR opt for a virtual appointment so that our team can work with you to reserve specific fabrics or materials for your planned assignments.
