Embossed cowhide with alligator-print texture in baby blue. Not in original shape as some cuts have been made, but remnants are an approximate 9-10 square foot hide piece, reflected in price. As with any real skin, there may be slight variations in dye color, shape, and size.
This medium weight embossed leather is polished and features a smooth texture on the face with a dry parchment-like backside. Pressure from embossment has left an impression on both sides of cowhide. This hide is stiff, holds a memory of past forms, and springs crisply back into shape. Ideal for use in projects for footwear, upholstery, and accessory construction (ex. bags, wallets).
These leathers are recovered from high-end designers in New York City, sold as a sustainable alternative to destruction and discard in landfill.
