Stretch-shantung fabric available in classic black. Labeled as a stretch-shantung, mixed silk and synthetic contents. Measures 63” in width and is available for order as a 1 yard piece.
This shantung fabric has moderate drape, a very subtle sheen to its surface, stretch, and slub variation throughout. Not as heavy or high-shine as a traditional shantung silk. It is ideal for use in topweight apparel projects such as shirts or dresses, or could be used as lining.
These fabrics are recovered from high-end designers in New York City, sold as a sustainable alternative to destruction and discard in landfill.
