Ivory elastic-smocked silk fabric. Burn tested primarily silk content, but smocking is done in an elastic thread to allow for ease. Smocking measures 30" in width when unstretched, 35" including selvedges, and 52" in total width when stretched. Available to order as a 3.5 yard piece.
This fabric is semi-sheer, lightweight, and very textural. Stretch due to the elastic threads in the smocking, which is done in a tiny floral pattern. Ideal for specialty topweight apparel and accessories projects.
These fabrics are recovered from high-end designers in New York City, sold as a sustainable alternative to destruction and discard in landfill.
